work today >>

In my contemporary media class, we were to design an impromptu instillation for the Tagged, Stamped and Stenciled: Guerrilla Art "Goes Gallery" in the Baum. The show is rather interesting, bringing street art into a gallery setting by manipulated the space in such a way that appears natural. Mark Bode, the visiting artist did this by recreated a Metropolitan Subway station. For most Arkansans, seeing such an urban trademark was unfamiliar. So, It was in this notion that we decided to create something to contrast with the fabricated environment and create statement about the state in which this "metro" is located.

But, prior to the work in Holly's class, my painting class was in the gallery helping install/paint/tag the walls. This is what I did on one wall.

So, based on the small picture, one can see how the gallery was transformed. It's definitely and interesting show. Below are the pictures of the concept and progress from one day, I had in mind for my group's collaborative three-dimensional piece.

Hopefully it reads, Arkansas.

new obsessions

I am obsessed with this CD. It's so good. I can't stop listening to it.
It puts me in the state where I feel the most creative and content with my self.
I am beyond grateful for everything right now. I love life and where its taking me.

"stand back, stand back."

2010

Dear 2009,
I sure do want to thank you for giving me a year that is worthy of reflection, both good and bad.
When I have time, I will write to you seriously and recreate an account for the year, but for now - I am living in the present.

Goodbye,

Marko
